Becoming a Youth Lacrosse Coach
1
Coaches are some of the most influential role models in children's lives today.
With the explosive growth of lacrosse across the country, the need for knowledgeable, experienced coaches is greater than ever. We are looking for head and assistant coaches at each age group.
Playing experience is not required to coach youth lacrosse. USA Lacrosse, MYL, and our program offer many training opportunities to teach the game. Teams practice twice a week and have games on Sundays.
If you are interested, please reach out for more information. All coaches are required to undergo a CORI check per Massachusetts law.

Coach Certification Clinics
CoachCertClinics
There are 3 Levels of Certification Clinics. Coaches should attend the clinic that fits their coaching background and level of coaching this season:
INTRO LEVEL CLINIC
- For NEW coaches coaching Level 1/2 or 3/4 who have little to no lacrosse knowledge/experience.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLINIC
- For NEW coaches coaching Level 1/2 or 3/4 who have previous lacrosse playing/coaching experience.
- For RETURNING coaches who are coaching Level 1/2 or 3/4.
ADVANCED CLINIC
- For NEW and RETURNING coaches who are coaching Level 5/6 or 7/8.
- The assumption for NEW coaches is that they have previous coaching experience elsewhere or strong playing experience that qualifies them to coach at this level.
